When I became disabled in 2002 the help was not available with mortgage companies like there is today. On top of me being unable to work my estranged husband turned to prescription drugs & alcohol to escape rather than pick up the slack & keep our household going. There is government help for those who are financed or for first time buyers, but I've had no luck trying to get financed now for a home for me & my son. We are living inside city limits renting. He is a coutry boy & I have to admit I need to be in the country too, where its quiet & we can have gardens & lots of animalS. I receive SSD & can afford the payments on a place now, but I can not get financed. Where I live there are so many awesome country places for sale, but the owners will not finance. If there is anyone out there that is financially able, takes a chance on honest christians that have had circunstances beyond their control that caused them to lose what they worked so hard to get & needs someone willing to believe in them & give them a second chance please take a chance on me. I am not wanting anything expensive. I would love to be able to buy a couple acres and but a mobile home on it. Mobile homes are easier for a disabled person to manage & also would be cost effecient. Hello, I live in Arkansas and am desperate for a home for my son and me. I became disabled in 2001. We have lost everything that we owned. My estranged husband won't work. My son and I lived in mental, for him, both for me until 6eb of last year. I let his Dad come back for what I thought was my sons benefit. He was working at the time but it didn't take long before that changed. He's an alcoholic and is addicted to pain killers. Things are getting really thick again. I can not get a loan through the local banks to buy a HOME (farm) for us two. His Dad will not leave. We have to move but no one else will rent because we have animals. That is our dream to be on a small farm or a place w/ land so we can garden, have livestock etc. I always helped others in the past and that is my soul desire. There are so many children that need food and nurturing. If you have any resourses that could help me get financing for a home in the country, I would be grateful. My son and him got into it today and I know if we stay it will only get worse. There are so many places for sale or just abandoned where we live but my credit score is less than perfect. I have been renting where I live for two years and I know my landlord will give me a solid reference. I am so very sorry to hear the hardship you are going through. I have been through a lot and though I'm a Christian. At times I found myself asking him 'how could he do this to me'. After lots of prayers and asking him directly what was going on in my life. He answered me by reminding me to give my problems to him, have faith in God, he has a greater plan for you. If you believe, keep you faith he will give you more than your able to use. That's what he wants. He wants to give us enough for us and enough to help people he places in our lives. He will not forsake you. Sometimes our plans are completely different from the plans he has for us. But if we turn it over to him, let him take care of our problems and we focus on helping someone other than ourselves, everything falls into place. I will be praying for you, for ytou to be ale to relax and turn your worries over to him abd for him to lead you to the awesome job he has planned for you. My dream for today is the Lord has answered some prayers for some very deserving families. The US is filled with so many families struggling for the very basics. I pray our children are getting food, shelter, comfort, safety and above all they are being taught God loves them and wants good for them.they are being taught the power of prayer. My teen has been through so much, but through it al he knows when an unexpected miracle happens its the Lord at work. He knows God is Good and only wants the best for him and that sometimes what he thinks is the best is no necessarily in Gods plans for the day. I try and teach him hard work and dedication, considering others feelings, loving everyone, do unto others as you would want for yourself. He knows I love him, that I'm trying my best to make a better life for us. I think working with our hands and hearts is one of the greatest gifts God has given me. I know he wants me to be in the position where I can help others. I am seeking someone to finance a loan for me with interest and at a monthly payment that will enable me to makw my payment and have the place and resources I need to show a child what its like to hold a cane pole in your hands and jerk the first brim to the bank. After that first one you hooked. For my son to be able to take off in the woods and squirrel hunt all day til his hearts content.
